This may be my new favorite picture. Their smiles and laughter were amazing. During the week I was camping, I got to spend much of my time with these mamas as we worked together to prepare food for the group (I have never chopped so many vegetables in my life!). The middle one is called Jerusha, which is my middle name. When they discovered this, I ceased to be Phoebe and was Jerusha for the rest of the week.

For some reason, this trek into the Mara was marked by frequent cheetah viewings. I've never seen so many nor had them come so close to us. It was stunning:
